Chocolate pie is one of my all-time favorite pies because it is so yummy and creamy that I just can’t stop eating it. I love making them ahead of time, then storing them in the fridge, and eating them after a heavy and savory meal. My family loves it just as much and we also serve this on special occasions, holidays, gatherings, or when a guest is coming over. My go-to recipe is this one by Catherine’s Plates on YouTube because it is so simple and easy to make yet so scrumptious and delicious.
Ingredients:
- 1 pre-made chocolate pie crust
- 2 (3.9 ounces) boxes of instant chocolate pudding mix
- 1¾ cup of cold milk
- 8 ounces of cool whip or whipped topping, thawed, divided
- Mini chocolate chips, or toppings preferred
Directions:
Step 1
In a large mixing bowl, add the pudding mix and cold milk, then beat them together until the consistency has thickened. Place half of the pudding mix to the bottom of a premade crust, then spread it evenly, and set it aside.

Step 2
Next, add about 4 ounces of thawed cool whip or whipped topping into the bowl of the remaining pudding mixture, then stir them together until combined and incorporated, and place it over the pudding mixture on the pie crust spreading it evenly.
Step 3
Now, dollop the rest of the thawed cool whip or whipped topping over the pudding layers, then sprinkle the mini chocolate chips all over the top. Place it in the refrigerator, then allow it to chill for about 1 hour or until set, and serve. Enjoy!
