Ingredients:

  • 1 puff pastry sheet
  • 2 nectarines, cut into thin slices
  • 1 egg, beaten for brushing
  • granulated sugar, white or brown
  • cinnamon, to taste
  • powdered sugar, for dusting

Directions:

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F and grease some ramekins with butter and dust with flour to make sure the roses won’t stick. Next, Cut the nectarines into very thin slices. After this, flour your working surface, lay the puff pastry sheet, flour it, then roll it out into a 10 x 15 rectangle. Brush the entire surface of the puff sheet with beaten egg, then sprinkle with some sugar and cinnamon. After this, cut the dough into eight equal parts.

Step 2

Layer the sliced nectarines into each dough, fold it lengthwise, brush with egg (sprinkle more sugar and cinnamon if needed), then roll it. Place each rose on the greased ramekin, place it in the preheated oven of 400 degrees F, and bake for 45 minutes or until puffed and golden. After baking, remove it from the ramekin and let rest for ten minutes. Sprinkle some powdered sugar and serve.
