I bet we can all agree that when potatoes and cheese are used together in a recipe, that dish is guaranteed to be so delicious and addicting. Just like this one by RecipeTin Eats on YouTube, these potato stacks are unlike any other potato dishes I’ve tried before, and upon the first bite, I immediately knew that this is something I would make often. You should definitely try this too and see for yourself, you’ll surely be surprised by how delicious this is.
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 180°C or 350°F, then grease a muffin tin with melted butter, and set it aside. Place a saucepan on a stove over medium-high heat, then add the remaining butter and garlic, and cook them for about 20 seconds while stirring occasionally. Add the cream and salt, then allow it to simmer for about 30 seconds, and turn off the heat.

Step 2
Remove the saucepan from the stove and keep it warm, then peel off the skin of the potatoes, and cut them into cylinder shapes making sure they are the same diameter as the muffin tin cups. Assemble the potato slices, then drizzle some of the cream mixtures all over them, and top them with cheese slices. Add more potato slices on top of each stack, then pour the remaining cream over them, and sprinkle some thyme.
Step 3
Cover them loosely with aluminum foil, then put them in the preheated oven, and allow them to bake for about 40 minutes or until cooked through. Top each stack of potatoes with more cheese, then put them back in the oven uncovered, and bake them for 10 more minutes or until golden. Garnish them with more thyme, then let them sit and cool down a bit for about 5 minutes, and unmold them with a spoon or a butter knife. Serve and enjoy!
