If you’re looking for a beginner-friendly bread recipe, try making this milk bread from Savor Easy on Youtube. This recipe only needs less than an hour and doesn’t need proofing at all. I bet this is the easiest bread you’ll ever make. Watch the video below to learn the step-by-step instructions.

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp instant yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 & 1/3 cups whole milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 egg and 1 tbsp milk for the eggwash

Directions:

Step 1

In your stand mixer bowl, add 4 cups of all-purpose flour, 1/3 cup sugar, 1 tsp baking powder, 2 tsp instant yeast, 1 tsp salt, 1 & 1/3 cup whole milk, 2 tsp vanilla extract, and 1/3 cup unsalted butter. Using the dough hook attachment, knead at speed two for eight to ten minutes or until your dough becomes smooth and forms a ball. Transfer your dough to your working surface, flour it, and roll it into a log. Divide it into 16 equal pieces.

Step 2

Roll each piece into a ball and place them in a parchment paper-lined baking tray. (Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F at this point). Score slightly deeper in each dough ball using a blade, then brush each top with eggwash. Place them in the preheated oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes. After baking, brush them with melted butter while still hot.
