Ingredients:
Cake
- 1 cup of caster sugar or superfine white sugar
- 2 cups of self-rising flour
- ¼ cup of cocoa powder
- 2 eggs
- ¾ cup of milk
- 125g or ½ cup of melted butter
Chocolate sauce
- 180g or 1¼ cup of dark chocolate
- 1/3 cup of whipping cream
Directions:
Step 1
In a large mixing bowl, add the sugar, then sift the flour and cocoa powder, and mix them together until well combined and uniform. Next, add the eggs, milk, and melted butter, then give them a good mix to combine until uniform and smooth. Grease a microwave-safe cake pan either with nonstick cooking spray or butter, then pour the cake batter into the pan and spread it nicely and evenly.

Step 2
Put it in the microwave over medium-high setting for about 6 to 7 minutes or until firm, then once done cooking, allow it to cool for a couple of minutes before unmolding on a wire rack, and let it continue to cool. Now, to prepare the chocolate sauce, simply place the chocolate in a pyrex or microwave-safe bowl, then add the whipping cream, and microwave them for about 2 minutes stopping every 30 seconds to stir until nice and smooth. Pour the chocolate sauce over the cooled cake and you’re done. Slice, serve, and enjoy!
