  • 4 Italian sausages, cut into bite-sized chunks
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 pound of medium ground beef
  • ½ onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves of garlic, chopped
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 1½ tsp of ground black pepper, or to taste
  • 1½ tsp of Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp of smoked paprika
  • ¾ tsp of cayenne pepper
  • 3 cups of long-grain rice, cooked

Step 1

Place a pan on a stove over medium-high heat, then add some oil, and heat it before adding the sausage. Toss and fry them until cooked through, then add the ground beef, and continue cooking them until nice and brown.

Step 2

Drain off the excess grease, then move the sausage and beef to one side, and add the onion and garlic to the empty side. Saute them until fragrant, then add the bell pepper, and keep cooking until translucent and softened.

Step 3

Season them with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, then give them a good mix, and add in half of the rice. Mix them to combine, then add the paprika and cayenne pepper, and add more black pepper if preferred. Toss until combined, then add the remaining rice, and mix them once more. Serve and enjoy!
