I always thought that making key lime pie is a difficult and challenging process, not until I watched this video tutorial by TheCooknShare on YouTube, and learned this recipe can be prepared in as fast as 30 minutes using only 6 simple ingredients which most are already available in my kitchen. Now, I can make a key lime pie anytime I want, so I’m sharing this with you, too hoping you’ll also love this recipe as much as I did.

Ingredients:

Crust

  • 1¼ cups of crushed graham crackers
  • 4 tbsp of melted butter
  • 1/3 cup of brown sugar

Filling

  • 2 (14 ounces) cans of sweetened condensed milk
  • 2/3 cup of key lime juice or regular lime juice
  • 2 eggs

Directions:

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F or 177°C, then in a large mixing bowl, add the graham crackers, sugar, and butter, and mix them all together until well combined. Transfer the mixture to a 9-inch pie pan, then press it down the bottom and the sides to form the crust, and bake it in the preheated oven for about 12 to 14 minutes. Once done baking, remove it from the oven, then set it aside, and let it cool while preparing the filling.

Step 2

In a separate large mixing bowl, add the condensed milk, eggs, and key lime juice, then whisk them all together until fully combined and the mixture thickens a bit, and pour it into the prepared baked pie crust. Spread it nice and evenly, then put it inside the oven, and let it bake for about 15 minutes. Set it aside, then let it cool down a little, and put it in the fridge to chill for about 4 to 6 hours up to overnight. Garnish the pie with lime wedges, then serve, and enjoy!
