Ingredients:

  • 8 tablespoons of butter
  • 32 ounces of green cabbage
  • 1 medium piece of yellow onion
  • 2 teaspoons of garlic, minced
  • 1½ cup of heavy whipping cream
  • 6 tablespoons of ranch dressing
  • 6 ounces of cream cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 6 ounces of cheddar cheese, shredded

Directions:

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400°F, then grease your baking dish and set it aside while preparing all of your ingredients. Shred the cabbage and onion using a mandolin or a sharp knife, then mince the garlic, and set them all aside. Place a frying pan on a stove over medium to high heat, then melt the butter, and add the cabbage, onion, and garlic. Let them cook for about 7 to 10 minutes or until softened.

Step 2

Next, add the heavy whipping cream, ranch dressing, and cream cheese, and season them with salt and pepper to taste. Stir them all together and let them simmer for 5 to 8 more minutes. Once done cooking, add the cabbage mixture to the prepared and greased baking pan, then sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the cabbage mixture. Put it in the preheated oven, then let it bake for about 15 to 20 minutes or until the cheese has completely melted and golden brown color. Best served hot. Enjoy!
