Materials for I Spy Quilt:

  • Print fabric
  • Black fabric, for the background, sashing, and border
  • Assorted print fabric, for the cornerstone
  • Marking pen, pencil, or chalk
  • Ruler
  • Needle and thread
  • Scissors or rotary cutter and a cutting mat
  • Fabric pins
  • Iron, for pressing
  • Sewing machine

Cut the fabrics as instructed in the video, then get a print square, and put 2 small black squares on 2 corners with their right sides facing. Line them diagonally from corner to corner, then pin them in place, and cut ¼ inch away from the marked line. Stitch them along the line, then remove the pins, and press the corners open. Do the same steps to the remaining corners, then make more snowball blocks, put a sashing between each block, and add the cornerstones. Finish it by adding the border and quilt however you want.
