Potato chips are one of the best snacks ever and are a favorite go-to of most people! Every time I go grocery shopping or whenever I am looking for a snack to munch on, I would always make sure to grab some potato chips from the aisle. They are so good and addicting that you just won’t notice that you have finished a whole bag in just one sitting until the last piece.

When I found out that you can make potato chips at home, I was surprised and excited to give it a try, but what convinced me even more was the fact that you can cook them in your microwave. So convenient and hassle-free, plus you can season them with any flavor that you want, too. I’m sure you’ll never want to buy from the store again, learn this recipe by Food Wishes on YouTube now.
Step 1
Prepare the parchment paper first as demonstrated in the video, then using a mandolin, cut the scrubbed potatoes into thin slices, and place them in a bowl filled with cold water. After most of the starch is rinsed off the potato slices, transfer them to a clean kitchen towel, then blot them with a paper towel until dry.
Step 2
Brush some oil over the prepared parchment paper, then place as many potato slices as you can fit, and brush the top with more oil. Place them in the microwave, then cook them for about 3½ minutes, flip them over, and cook them for another 4 minutes or more.
Step 3
Make sure to check them from time to time so they don’t burn, then once done cooking, transfer the chips to a cold plate, and season them with salt. Cook the remaining potato slices, then let them cool, and serve with your favorite dipping on the side. Enjoy!
