Meatloaf is a dish that my family and I will never get tired of, it is also a food that we can probably eat every single day, it’s just so delicious and savory. If you haven’t tried making a meatloaf yet and are willing to learn, then you better check out this super easy-to-follow recipe by Simply Mamá Cooks on YouTube and expect clean plates when you serve it to the table.

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds of ground beef, 85/15
  • 1 pack of beefy onion soup mix
  • 1 sleeve of Ritz crackers
  • ¼ of a medium-sized bell pepper, red and green
  • 1 tsp of garlic powder
  • 1 tsp of paprika
  • ¼ cup of ketchup
  • 2 tbsp of freshly chopped parsley
  • 1 tsp of cracked black pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup of whole milk

Sauce

  • 1 cup of ketchup
  • ¼ cup of A-1 steak sauce
  • 2 tbsp of dark brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp of diced chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
  • ¼ tsp of cracked black pepper

Directions:

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, add the ground beef, beefy onion soup mix, chopped bell peppers, and freshly chopped parsley, then season them with garlic powder, paprika, and black pepper, crush the Ritz crackers into fine crumbs, and add them to the bowl as well. In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the whole milk and eggs, then pour them into the meat mixture, and start mixing them with clean hands until combined and incorporated.

Step 2

Transfer it to a baking dish, then shape it nicely, and set it aside. In another bowl, add the ketchup, steak sauce, diced chipotle, black pepper, and brown sugar, then stir them until uniform and combined, and pour it on top of the meat spreading it evenly including the sides. Place it in a preheated oven at 350°F, then let it bake uncovered for about 1 hour depending on your oven, then let it rest for about 20 minutes or more before slicing, and then serve.
