Keeping your house clean and organized all the time doesn’t have to be expensive and difficult. Sometimes you just need the right techniques and tools to make things easier while making sure that you don’t spend a lot of money. The best way to do this is to make your own DIY cleaning solution with supplies that you already have at home. Learn how now with this video tutorial by Clean My Space on YouTube!

Materials:

  • An empty spray bottle
  • Dish soap
  • Water
  • Vinegar
  • Sponge
  • Microfiber cloth
  • A cleaning toothbrush

Directions:

#1: All-Purpose Cleaner

When cleaning your house, it’s good to keep only 1 cleaner at hand that you can take and use anywhere rather than purchase different solutions for each area. This homemade DIY all-purpose cleaner is very effective in cleaning any surface and is also a gentle solution as it can raise dirt to the surface without harming the surface itself. To make this solution, simply add ½ teaspoon of dish soap to a clean spray bottle along with 2 cups of water, then give them a good shake to combine, and use the spray anywhere.

#2: Glass Cleaner

If you have lots of glass surfaces in your house such as your windows up to your kitchen cabinets, then it’s best to keep a handy glass cleaner that is both very effective in removing haze and polishing glass. Most glass cleaners are expensive so if you want to save up money, then just make your own solution using supplies that you already have available in your house but also offer desirable results. All you have to do is to mix together equal parts of vinegar and water in a spray bottle, then spray it on any glass surface, and wipe it clean with a microfiber cloth.

#3: Magic Eraser

It’s always handy to keep baking soda always available in your kitchen not only for cooking but also for cleaning. Baking soda is a powerful cleaning agent that you can use almost anywhere, such as erasing small dirt, marks, or other residual stains on your walls to your baseboards. Simply dampen a sponge or microfiber cloth, then dab it on baking soda, and rub it directly on the dirt and mark. Wipe it clean and repeat as needed until completely clean.

#4: Cleaning Toothbrush

Having a toothbrush designated only for cleaning is smart and handy because it can clean more surfaces and areas better than other brushes or cleaning tools. The shape and long handle of the toothbrush allow it to be flexible and reach nooks and crannies that are usually hard to reach with regular brushes. It’s effective in scrubbing faucets, stove knobs, and other little areas of your appliances. You can also clean corners and narrow spaces in your bathroom, scrub your gadgets, and even your jewelry. Watch the video tutorial for more cleaning hacks!
