Recently, I’ve been eating a lot of ice cream and it is slowly becoming my favorite dessert. I was so happy when I found out that making ice cream at home is really not that complicated and uses only about 3 simple ingredients, most of them are already available in my kitchen which makes it so much easier to make. Now, I can have ice cream whenever I want it, what makes this even better is the fact that making this is also comparably inexpensive and more delicious than store-bought! Ingredients:

  • 1 can (14 ounces or 400g) of condensed milk, sweetened
  • 2 cups (480ml) of heavy cream, cold
  • ½ cup (60g) of cocoa powder, unsweetened
  • Mini chocolate chips, extra for topping, if desired

Directions:

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, add the heavy cream, then using a hand mixer, beat the heavy cream until stiff peaks start to form. Next, add the sweetened condensed milk followed by cocoa powder, then continue to beat them all together using low speed until incorporated.

Step 2

Once done incorporating the milk and chocolate, transfer the mixture to a container or a dish, spread it until nice and even, then cover it with plastic wrap gently pressing it down on the mixture until nice and flat. You can also add some chocolate chips if you want. Put this in the refrigerator and let it freeze for at least 6 hours before serving.
