These tips and hacks by Hometalk on YouTube will give you some great ideas that you can use to improve your home more efficiently and neatly. These hacks aren’t expensive and are truly surprising, but most important of all, it is not that complicated nor is it difficult to do, they are super easy and simple that you’d wish you knew them sooner.
Hack #1
Grab a clear plastic bottle that is about the same size as the paint can, then cut the top half off, and slip it on top of the paint can, it should fit just right. Heat up the sides to let the plastic form and seal itself to the edges, then allow it to cool down, and use it to pour the paint out of the can perfectly and neatly. Once done, put the cap on and set it aside, this way you can keep the paint fresh when you’re not using it.

Hack #2
If you have a rough-surfaced wall and you want to paint it nicely, then place a tape over the edge first, and rub a caulk right on top of the edge. Wipe it with a damp cloth, then start painting on the wall starting from the tape and towards the wall, and let it dry. Once done, peel off the tape carefully and you’re done, this technique will fill in the deep and uneven gaps in the surface and result in a better finish.
Hack #3
Drill a hole on the top side of the brush base at an angle, then fill the hole with hot glue and place a cap inside, and let the glue dry completely. Fill a plastic bottle with paint, then screw the bottle into the cap on the brush, and paint as usual. This will make painting easier and faster.
Hack #4
If you want to remember the previous paint that you used on your wall, try pulling off the covers of the outlet, then write at the back the name of the color, the brand, and the type of gloss, and then dab some of the paint for a sample. Put the cover back on the outlet, then take them off when you need the reference.
Hack #5
Grab Vaseline petroleum jelly, then rub some all over your doorknobs, and when you get water, liquid, or any dirt on it, it will be much easier to wipe and clean.
Hack #6
If you’ve got a gap around the side of your tub, then dab caulk around, and slide the curved end of a popsicle stick over it for a nice curved surface.
