This type of sewing is also sturdy and is one of the strongest stitches that you can make, you never know when this method might come in handy, so it’s best to learn them now. Watch this video tutorial by mary sewing room on YouTube and give it a few tries to see for yourself.
Step 1
First, draw the stitching line on your fabric to serve as a guide, then insert the thread into your needle, and knot the end. Push the needle through the back while your other hand is holding the other end of the fabric firmly, then insert the needle back into the starting stitch giving enough space from the first thread, and immediately push the needle through the back and out to the other side of the thread making sure they are both spaced equal as shown in the video. Pull the thread all the way but not too tight as to wrinkle the fabric, then repeat the same steps going back and forth, and continue to sew until you reach the other end of the fabric. Knot the thread at the end of the fabric securely as demonstrated in the video, then cut the excess thread, and you’re done!
