Step 1

Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter and set it aside, then split the hamburger buns apart, and spread them out on a baking sheet. Place them in an oven preheated at 250°F, then bake them for about 20 minutes or until lightly toasted, and allow them to cool completely.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, add the eggs, white sugar, whiskey, vanilla, cinnamon, salt, milk, cream, ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise, then give them a good whisk to combine, and set the custard mixture aside. Lay 6 of the bun bottoms into the prepared baking dish, then break the last two bottoms and half of the top bun into large pieces and use them to fill in the gaps.

Step 3

Scoop the custard mixture and pour over the buns, then place the 6 bun tops, use the remaining top buns to fill in the gap, and ladle the remaining custard over the buns. Wrap the baking dish with plastic, then place it in the refrigerator, and let the bread pudding chill for at least 3 hours or up to 12 hours.

Step 4

Preheat the oven to 350°F, then brush the top of the buns with some of the custard mixture, sprinkle some sesame seeds, and place them in the oven to bake for about 1 hour until browned and puffed. Let the bread pudding cool on a wire rack, then serve, and enjoy!
