Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F. Next, heat a skillet over medium heat. Once it’s hot enough, add the ground beef. Break this up right away and season with salt and pepper to taste. Once the ground beef begins to brown, push it over to one side of the pan, and add the chopped onion and bell pepper. Season the veggies with a bit of salt and cook for a couple of minutes. Once they softened, mix them with the ground beef, and push everything again over to one side of the pan. Add the chopped baby bella mushrooms and three cloves of minced garlic. Season with a bit of salt, cook until softened, then mix them in together with the meat mixture.

Once everything is well combined, add two 15 oz cans of dice tomatoes and one 15 oz can of tomato sauce. Season with 1 tbsp Italian seasoning and another pinch of salt and pepper. Mix all together really well and let it simmer for 15 to 20 minutes uncovered. After this, finish it off with some chopped fresh basil and parmesan cheese.
