This handy grocery bag holder is so simple and easy to make! If you’re a beginner at sewing, then this is the perfect project for you. Learn how to make this with only 2 easy steps and a few materials. No special tools or skills are needed in this one, all you need is to watch this video tutorial by Easy Sewing for Beginners and prepare the fabric you want to use on this project.
Step 1
Start by laying out the tea towel with the wrong side facing up, then fold over the short ends of the tea towel about 1 inch inward, this is where the ribbon and elastic will thread through. Sew along the edges of the folded fabric. Fold the towel in half lengthwise with their right sides facing each other, then sew the long sides together making sure to avoid the folded fabric on each end, and then turn the bag right side out.

Step 2
Grab some lighter or a flame of some sort and burn each end of your ribbon to avoid it from fraying. Attach a safety pin on one end, then insert and thread it through the allotted hole of the bag, and pull and tie the ends together. Repeat the same process for threading the ribbon to the elastic band and inserting it into the other end of the bag. Tie a knot at the end of the elastic or sew the ends together. Tuck the knot inside nicely to hide it away.
