When the weather starts getting cold, I start getting worried about what to do with my plants, since I don’t have room for them in my house. I have to get creative about what to do and have spent hours worrying about what to do with them when the freeze happens.
I have ended up with some type of make shift plastic cover on my patio and that’s the time when I wish I had a greenhouse.  I don’t have to wish any more…I’m ready for the cool weather now!

I just love my greenhouse and I put all my potting soil and pots out there, along with a bunch of cuttings I’ve taken from my other plants.  I’m so happy to finally have a place to putter around with my plants and then feel prepared for where to put them when it gets cold.  I have a couple of electric heaters that I’ll use when it gets really cold. We had a lot of the materials already and just repurposed it.

This DIY greenhouse is cheap and the attached tutorial shows you how to build a very cost effective greenhouse that is very sturdy and quick to put together.

The greenhouse in this post was put together in about a half day.The actual cost spent on the project shown was about $150.00.
