Step 1
Preheat your oven to 350°F, then grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray, and line it with parchment paper or oil. In a large mixing bowl, add the flour, sugar, and salt, then whisk everything until uniform, drizzle the melted butter, and stir them with a fork until well combined.
Step 2
Using your hands, keep mixing and knead the dough until crumbly, then transfer it to the prepared baking dish, spread it out evenly, and press it firmly into a thin layer. Put it in the preheated oven to bake for about 15 to 20 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden, then while waiting, add the eggs, corn syrup, brown sugar, vanilla, and salt in a large mixing bowl, and whisk them until smooth and combined.
Step 3
Sift over the flour, then keep whisking until combined, add the chopped pecans, and mix them once more until evenly distributed. Once the crust is done baking, pour the prepared filling into it, then spread it smoothly and evenly, and put it back in the oven to bake for an additional 30 minutes or until the topping is puffed and dry. Allow it to cool completely, then put it in the refrigerator to chill, and serve. Enjoy!
