Step 1
Preheat your oven to 375°F, then line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper, and set them aside. In a large mixing bowl, add the butter and sugar, then beat them together over medium speed until smooth and creamy, and then add the egg, pure vanilla extract, and pure almond extract.
Step 2
In a small mixing bowl, add the flour, baking powder, and salt, then give them a good stir until combined, and slowly pour them into the batter while mixing continuously until fully combined. Scoop 1½ tablespoons of the batter into the prepared baking sheet, then space them 2 inches apart from each other evenly and then put them in the preheated oven.
Step 3
Bake them for about 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned on the edges, then let them cool for about 2 to 3 minutes, and transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely. Decorate the cookies and top it however and with whatever you want. Serve and enjoy!
