You may be cleaning your dryer frequently, but you might also be skipping or forgetting to clean an important area in your machine, which is the lint trap! Reaching down that space is quite difficult, but luckily, there are tricks and techniques that you can try in order to effectively clean and get all of the trapped lint out of your dryer. You can learn them with this video tutorial by Andrea Jean Cleaning on YouTube, plus, you also won’t be needing any special tools or supplies, because you can just grab materials that you already have in your house and use that.
Trick #1
One method that you can do quickly is to vacuum the lint trap on your machine, but sometimes the attachment of the vacuum might be too big that it wouldn’t fit inside the trap itself. However, there’s an easy trick that you can try using an empty toilet paper roll, simply put it at the end of your vacuum, then duct tape it in place, and insert it in the lint trap.

Trick #2
Another method is by using a Swiffer duster, a knife wrapped with a microfiber towel, or a fly swatter wrapped with a microfiber towel. Simply insert it down the lint trap and swipe it back and forth, pick up the collected link every now and then, and repeat the process until clean. You can also clean underneath the machine itself using the fly swatter.
