Materials:

  • Yarn, gray, brown, and black
  • Scissors
  • Small black beads
  • Hot glue gun and glue sticks
  • Cardboard

Directions:

Step 1

Cut a piece of gray yarn and set it aside, then wrap the gray yarn around your forefinger 20 times, cut off the excess, and carefully slide the looped yarn off your finger. Place it on top of the cut yarn piece, then wrap it around the loop, and knot it tightly before cutting the excess. Cut through the loops and fluff the ball yarn, then make more for a total of 14 yarn balls.

Step 2

Cut a round piece of cardboard with a 5.5cm or 2-inch diameter, then hot glue the fluff balls all over the front and back of the cardboard, and set it aside. Wrap the brown yarn around the little finger 15 times, then cut a long excess yarn tail, and insert it through a needle. Sew the loop of yarn on your finger as shown in the video, then sew a black bead in the center, and knot it securely in place.

Trim the shape of the owl, then make the tail using brown yarn, and attach it to the back and bottom of the owl. Make a small piece of loop, then hot glue on top of the owl for hanging, and you’re done.
