Get ready for the spring season by decorating your house with this DIY project idea by Moth Art on YouTube! You can make these adorable chicks using only two colors of yarn and they can be finished in just a few minutes. Learn how to make them with this video tutorial and start decorating just in time for Easter, too. I hope you love this craft project as much as I did. Enjoy!
Step 1
Make a template with a cardboard or thick paper at about 6cm or 2.3 inches wide, one rectangular and one round, then make another set at 5cm or 1.9 inches wide, and make a cut along the center of the rectangular paper as shown in the video. Starting with the yellow yarn, cut a small piece and insert it through the cut, and start wrapping a set of yarn around the width of the template about 150 times, then using the small piece of yarn, tie the looped yarn tightly, and knot. Gently remove the looped yarn from the paper, then pull the yarn at the center tightly, tie it one more time, and then knot. Cut through the loop, then place the round template on top, and trim the yarn to the same size.

Step 2
Repeat the same process to the 5cm template and set them aside. Push a pin down your work surface, then wrap a double strand of orange yarn around the pin and knot 5 times, and cut the excess tail. Repeat the same step with a single strand of orange yarn, then wrap and knot 5 times, and cut the yarn leaving enough excess tail. Do this two more times, then gather them together and tie them tightly as shown in the video, cut the excess yarn, and make another set to complete the feet. Make a 2cm or 0.8 inch, then wrap the yellow yarn flatly for a few times, and tie them tightly. Do this one more time, then start hot gluing the pieces together, and adhere the small black beads to the head of the chick as well.
