If you love collecting wine corks because you plan on using them in the future but are currently at the point where you have too much and don’t know which project to use it on, then this super fun project idea by HGTV Handmade on YouTube might be a big help. Repurpose those wine corks and create a pretty board where you can stick notes or other important stuff. You don’t need a lot of materials for this project, just a few simple craft supplies will do! Plus, this is super easy to make, and the final result looks so pretty, too.

Materials:

  • Tray
  • Wine corks
  • White chalk paint
  • Acrylic paint
  • Paintbrushes
  • Tacky glue
  • Twine
  • Permanent craft adhesive

Directions:

Step 1

Gather a bunch of wine corks, then figure out the total quantity of wine corks that will fit in your tray. In this video, it used up about 91 wine corks to fit into 10¼ inches round tray. You can use the tray as is or if you want, you can also coat it with white chalk paint, then paint the wine corks as well with pink, white, and gray acrylic paint.

Step 2

Using tacky glue, adhere all of the corks inside the tray making sure to arrange them properly so that all of the spaces are covered. Next, use permanent craft adhesive to glue a long piece of twine around the outside of the tray to make a hanger, then use a couple of clothespins to hold the twine up while waiting for the glue to set, and hang your corkboard on a sturdy nail on the wall.
