I enjoy doing outdoor activities or simply relaxing in the yard or garden with a book in hand and a delicious and refreshing drink on the table. This is why my favorite season is Summer and I always look forward to when it finally starts, and even before it arrives, I’ve already planned out everything that I want to do and do the projects that I have to make.
RELATED: How to Repurpose Old Bottles into DIY Tiki Torches
One very important item that I should not miss out on is beautiful outdoor lighting, or more specifically, tiki torches! This is also the main reason why I love collecting empty wine bottles because I know that I’d get to use them later on for DIY projects that I might find interesting. If you also want to make one for yourself, then check out this video tutorial by Savvy on YouTube.
Step 1
Wash the wine bottles clean, then make sure to remove any labels, and let them dry completely.
Step 2
Add the pea gravel into the bottle and fill it about a third of the way up, then using a funnel, carefully pour in the citronella torch fuel until it almost reaches the base of the neck.
Step 3
Put the reducing connector into the mouth of the bottle, then insert the wick pushing it down the bottle, and make sure to leave some of the wick sticking out the top of the bottle.
Step 4
Leave the wick to soak for a while, then light it up, and enjoy your new tiki torch bottle!
