Valentine’s day is fast approaching and what better gift to give than a candy jar filled with all of your loved ones’ favorite treats? You can also just put it in your kitchen or living room and let the kids or your guests get candies for them to eat! What’s even better is that you can make this candy jar using materials that you may already have available in your house, and if not, you can easily find it in the nearest Dollar store. Materials:

  • 4.25” flower pot and dish
  • Jute twine
  • Paint, pink, white, and red
  • 5.6” glass bowl
  • E6000 adhesive
  • Hot glue gun and sticks
  • Felt roses
  • Wooden caps
  • Candies

Directions:

Step 1

Using E6000 adhesive, adhere a wooden cap at the center of the pot dish, then coat them with paint, and let them dry. Paint the flower pot as well and let it dry, then using hot glue, adhere the jute twine around the rim of the flower pot until the whole rim is covered.

Step 2

Adhere the felt roses along the front using hot glue, then lay the flower pot upside down, and adhere the bowl at the top using E6000. Fill the bowl with treats, then use the pot dish with a wooden cap as the lid, and you’re done!
