Easy Recycled DIY Paper Pumpkin Craft Tutorial

This fun craft lets you recycle an old book that you won’t be needing anymore and turn it into something very beautiful. If you want to learn how then proceed to read the instructions down below. Materials:
- Old book
- White paper
- Pencil or marker pen
- Scissors or X-Acto knife
- Orange acrylic paint
- Paintbrush
- Artificial pumpkin leaves
- Jute rope
- Tacky glue
- Large clip
- Wooden cork
Directions:
Step 1
Draw the pumpkin shape on a piece of paper, then cut the shape off, and fold it in half, trim off the shape to make the edges even. Place the folded piece on top of the book, then trace the shape onto the book, and start cutting the pages a little at a time. Once you’re done cutting out the shape, remove all of the trimmed-off excesses, then hold the pages together, and paint the edges with orange acrylic paint. Let the paint on the pages completely dry, then once dry, pull the pages that got stuck together apart.

Step 2
Dab some glue along each edge of the book’s rib, then place a pencil at the center and join the edges of the rib together making sure they line up nicely. Clip the pages together to make sure that the ribs are staying still while allowing them to dry completely, then once dry, stand the book pumpkin right side up. Adhere the pumpkin leaves on top of the book pumpkin, then glue the coiled jute rope as well, and finally the wooden cork at the very top for the stem.
