The best decoration for fall will always be a bunch of pumpkin and maple leaf-themed crafts! You can make a few cute and soft mini pumpkins using only socks, polyester fiber, and some jute twine. You can use this craft project idea anywhere you want, you can even give it as a gift, or sell it. Learn how to make this in just 20 minutes with this video tutorial by Moth Art on YouTube.
Step 1
Cut the cuff off of the sock, then cut across the top of the heel, trim the heel part to straighten the edges, and cut off the toe part straight through as well. Turn the sock wrong side out, then sew and gather one side tightly, and knot it securely. Turn the piece right side out, then start sewing and gather the other edge of the sock, and fill it with polyester fiberfill before pulling the thread tightly and sewing it shut. Make sure to spread the filling inside the ball nicely, then insert the through the bottom and up the top center, and wrap it over the whole ball until you reach the top center again. Insert it through the center, then go over the side this time, and repeat the process until you have several bumps that resemble a pumpkin.

Step 2
Once contented with how your sock pumpkin looks like, knot the thread securely, and set the pumpkin aside. Cut three pieces of the thick jute twine to about 4-5cm or 1.5-1.9″ long, then glue them together, and twist. Fray the bottom side of the twisted twine, then hot glue it to the center of the pumpkin, and set it aside. Cut a piece of wire to 5-6cm or about 1.9-2.3″ long, then wrap it with the thin jute twine, and coil it around a pencil or pen. Hot glue the coiled piece to the side of the pumpkin stem, then cut and shape a piece of green felt into a pumpkin leaf, and attach it to the end of the coil piece. Now, you can make more of this cute sock pumpkin in different sizes.
