I love decorating my house with plants or flowers because I feel like they give life to the entire room, literally! But, it doesn’t necessarily have to be real flowers, and if you like, you can use artificial or decorative ones. These plants whether they’re real ones or not can range from budget-friendly to expensive depending on the design and the store itself.

There are also other options that you can explore such as making your own decorative leaves of flowers which is perfect if you love making crafts or DIY projects. This is a better and more inexpensive alternative because you can just recycle some cardboard or empty boxes that you have stored in your house! Watch this video tutorial by Tatzkreen Art on YouTube to learn how.
Step 1
If you’re using a corrugated cardboard sheet, then separate the flat and corrugated parts from each other, and use only the flat side. Cut the cardboard into a strip at 21×1.8cm or 8.2×0.7 inches, then cut 15 squares at 7×3.5cm or 2.7×1.3 inches, and set them aside.
Step 2
Get the cardboard strip, then fold it in half lengthwise, and mark every 1 cm or 0.4 inches 15 times. Unfold the strip, then mark the inside right where the marking stopped, and apply glue to the entire length except the short end where the mark is.
Step 3
Close the strip and press it together to make sure they stick, then set it aside for later, this will be the stem of the leaves. Get a rectangular piece of cardboard, then fold it lengthwise, fold the edge back in half, and do the same to the other side.
Step 4
Cut it in half, then keep it closed, and cut the top edge in a curve. Do the same step for the rest except from the part where you cut them in half, instead keep them together, and glue their bases as shown in the video.
Step 5
Glue the single leaf to the tip of the stem, then glue the rest of the leaves along the length of the stem, and refer to the video tutorial for the proper adhering and positioning of the leaves. Let the glue dry completely and you’re done!
