I’ve always been a fan of repurposing pool noodles, but I am amazed by some of these ideas. This video by Hometalk will show you so many amazing ways to use pool noodles around your home. My personal favorite hack in the video is a floating cooler made with storage bins and a pool noodle. I also really love the rainbow wall decor shown in the video as well. The possibilities with pool noodles are endless. The best part of all, you can find th=em at the dollar store for just $! in the summer, so now is the time to stock up! I bought a bunch of them to keep at my house year-round so I will always have some on hand for new crafts I find.

Materials Needed For Floating Cooler:

  • Pool Noodle
  • String or Twine
  • Storage Container

Directions:

Step One

Cut up pool noodles in the sizes of each side of the storage container you chose.

Step Two

Using string, connect all the pool noodle pieces you cut in step one. Thread the string through the center of each pool noodle.

Step Three

Wrap the pool noodle and string around the storage container then tie it tightly to make sure it’s holding up the storage container well. The tighter it is around the container the less likely it is to sink into the water once placed in the pool.

Step Four

Place some ice into your container and add your drinks to the ice. Finally, Place the cooler into the pool and enjoy. It will float around by itself.

There are so many other hacks in the video down below, you will want to buy lots of pool noodles so you can try them all.
