If you already have a fall-themed wreath and are still looking for more decoration ideas that you can try, then make sure to give this fun DIY project a try! This is super easy, simple, and quick to put together, perfect for last-minute decorations, too. All thanks to Amanda Formaro on YouTube for making this clever DIY decor video tutorial.

Materials:

  • Cloth, plastic, or newspaper
  • Canning jar bands or mason jar rings
  • Spray paint
  • Jute string
  • Wooden cork
  • Artificial moss
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue gun and glue sticks
  • Pumpkin leaf

Directions:

Step 1

Lay a piece of cloth, plastic, or newspaper over your work surface to catch any mess or paint that may stain the area, then lay the jar bands or rings making sure they are not touching each other and are evenly spaced, and start spraying them with paint until well coated. Let them dry completely and add another coat of paint as needed, but if you’re content with its current paint coating, then proceed to gather them, and insert a jute string through them making sure they are all facing in the same direction.

Step 2

After gathering about 25 pieces of jar bands or rings, tie the jute string securely with a knot and the bands or rings will automatically form a round donut shape. Now, cut a piece of moss, then wrap it around a piece of cork, and secure it with hot glue, this will be the stem of the pumpkin. Insert the stem at the center of the jar bands or rings, then secure it with hot glue, and glue a leaf as well. Add more embellishments as desired and you’re all done!
