Making pretty Halloween decorations doesn’t have to be expensive, sometimes all you need is a creative idea or inspiration, and a few materials that you can recycle! Just like this video tutorial by Taffleberry Lane on YouTube that teaches you how to make an adorable gnome witch using only scrap felt fabrics and some yarn.
Step 1
Trace the large circular object on the black felt and cut it out, then trace the small circle object, and cut it out as well. Fold the large circle in half, then cut it through the center, fold again half, and cut it through again. Dab the hot glue along the side of the triangle, then fold it over to adhere the two sides together and then poke the pointed center through to make a small hole. Fold the small circle in half, then notch the center a few times by half an inch, dab hot glue around the center, and attach the cone on top. Press the notched center of the brim towards the cone for a stronger hold. Cut the twine into about 8 inches long, then insert it through a needle, and sew on the pointed corner of the hat to make a loop so that you can hang the gnome later.

Step 2
Attach the small strip of felt fabric around the brim of the hat, then adhere the 2 small squares together to create a buckle, and glue it to the center of the attached strip. Wrap the yarn around the notebook about 50 times, then cut them through the loop, and lay them on the surface evenly before cutting them through in half. Gather the yarn together so that they are nice and even, then tie a piece of yarn around the center, and tie it securely several times. Hold the yarn piece in the middle, then hold the yarn pieces down nicely, and apple hot glue at the top center before inserting it underneath the hat. Press the yarn inside the hat and make sure it’s attached well, then hot glue the wooden beard underneath the brim, and you’re done!
