I always look forward to the Summer season because of all the projects and crafts that I want to make. I get excited about decorating the house and making props for pool parties, cookouts, and other outdoor activities that we’re planning to have.

One of the crafts that I tried making is this DIY drink cover and coaster by HGTV Handmade on YouTube which is super fun and simple! This would be a great activity to bond with kids, your family, or friends.
Step 1
Choose the pattern that you want and draw one or print out a pattern you found online, then determine the size by putting your cup or glass in the center of the pegboard. Place your beads following the pattern on the pegboard, then make sure to leave a circle in the middle for the straw at about 3 pegs wide in diameter. You can use tweezers to pick up and place the beads, then place your pegboard on a flat, heat-safe surface, and set the iron to medium heat.
Step 2
Place a parchment paper over the pegboard, then iron your project in a circular motion for about 15 to 20 seconds until fused, and then remove the parchment and your project from the pegboard. Flip it over to expose the non-fuse side, then place the parchment paper on top, and iron in a circular motion for around 10 to 15 seconds. Allow it to cool, then remove the parchment paper, and you’re done!
