Materials:

  • 180*140 cm (70.8*55 inches) fabric, upholstery preferably
  • Fabric scissors
  • Needle
  • Matching colored thread, needs to be sturdy
  • Ruler
  • Tape measure
  • Marking pen
  • Small cut sponge
  • Polyester fiberfill

Directions:

Step 1

Fold the fabric in half lengthwise, then fold both sides toward the center, mark 40 cm (15.7 inches) from the fabric fold, then slowly pivot the measuring tape and mark as you go until it becomes straight upward. Connect those marks and draw a curved line, repeat on the other side, then pin around near those curved lines, and cut them out. You’ll end up with 2 pieces of 80 cm (31.4 inches) diameter circle, set them aside. Grab the leftover fabric and spread it open, then measure and cut 2 pieces of 128.5*30 cm (50.5*11.8 inches). Stack them with their right sides together, then pin around on both sides, sew each side with a 1 cm (0.4 inches) seam allowance but leave an 18 cm (7 inches) gap at the center of one side, you can double seam to reinforce.

Step 2

Fold the circle fabric in half and mark the center, join the center marks of the round and rectangle fabrics at the seam, pin them in place, then sew around with a 1 cm (0.4 inches) seam allowance. Do the same step with the other side of the circle. Turn it right side out through the gap, then fill it with a mixture of small cuts of sponge and microfiber, hand stitch the gap close with a blind stitch. Through the center mark, measure and divide it into 3 parts, flip the ruler and divide it again into 3 parts, then from the vertical center, measure 2 more equal sizes on each side. Flip the cushion over and repeat the step on the other side, cut 18 pieces of the same fabric with 1*1 cm (0.4*0.4 inches) size. Sew through the small pieces of fabric and prick it to the other side, take out the needle and make 3-4 knots, repeat the steps on all marks.
