This napkin holder is also a great decor for your table setup and it’s the perfect item for the Summer season, too! This is one of the cutest upcycled handmade crafts I ever did and I will surely make more in the future, I might even try different kinds of fruits for the design.
Step 1
Take the clothespins apart and remove the metal part, then take 2 pieces, and glue their backside together. Let the glue dry, then make 9 more pieces for a total of 10, and set them aside. For the base, take 2 clothespin pieces, then glue their sides together, and make another piece so you have 2.
Step 2
Tape the circle down a flat surface, then place a double clothespin piece above the center of the circle, and then hot glue the bottom side of a single piece to the side of the centerpiece.
Step 3
Adhere 2 more single pieces next to the first one, then do these alternating sets 2 more times, and do the same to the other side until it forms a half circle as shown in the video.
Step 4
Make an identical piece with the remaining clothespin pieces, then adhere the base pieces to each side of the half-circle clothespin’s bottom as demonstrated in the video, and attach the other half-circle clothespin piece to the other side of the base.
Step 5
Once the glue has dried, paint the napkin holder until it resembles a watermelon, refer to the video for the details, then let it dry completely, and glue some beads all over the surface of the napkin holder for the watermelon seeds.
