This adorable wooden project craft also works as a great piece of decor, and you can also give this as a gift if you want. You can make this keychain holder as small or as large as you want, or you can make your wooden cutout using other shapes that you like.
Step 1
Paint both sides of the cactus cutout with green and let it dry completely, then add light green streaks all over the cactus, and top it with some yellowish streaks for some extra details. Get a small piece of cardboard, then smear the freshly painted details down as shown in the video, and keep adding details and smearing until the desired look.
Step 2
Do this step for both sides of the cactus and let the paint dry completely. Paint a few small pink flowers all over the cactus and let them dry completely. Mix some cement and water in a plastic container, then wrap the bottom part of the cactus with plastic wrap, and tape in place before placing the cactus in the center of the cement mixture.

Step 3
Hold it in place using tapes, then set it aside, and let it dry until completely set and solid. Remove the cactus from the base, then peel off the plastic, and unmold the base from the container. Wet the base and sand the edges smoothly, then once dry, paint it entirely black.
Step 4
Add some gold outline along the edges and let it dry, then hammer down a few small nails all over the cactus, and insert the cactus back onto the base. If you want, you can also place some decorative rocks around the bottom of the cactus and above the base. Now hang your keys and keychains and you’re done!
