At the end of a long, hard day sometimes you need a cold treat to get you through the next one. And as far as cold treats go, Wendy’s signature Frosty is hard to beat. What’s the only thing better than a Frosty from Wendy’s, you ask? Being able to make one in the comfort of your own home whenever you please, of course! If I was not able to exhibit self-restraint, I would make these for every meal. This is my new favorite dessert recipe, not only because it’s incredibly tasty but it also only requires 3 ingredients.

All you’ll need is half a gallon of chocolate milk, sweetened condensed milk, and cool whip. It’s hard to believe that this grocery store trifecta is what makes up the secret to this sweet treat. My youngest is a picky eater and was more than a little hesitant when I told him about this Frosty look a like. His brother and sister agreed with me that we should do a blind taste test with the real thing and the dupe we made. To my delight, not only could he not tell the difference but he preferred the homemade Frosty! I love to make these in big batches for family nights where we all gather in the living room with a movie, a bowl of popcorn and individual mason jars filled with homemade Frosty’s.

Even though these icy cold desserts are delicious on their own, sometimes we will mix in some Oreo’s or M&M’s or pretzels to add a little crunch. We like to change it up frequently so we’re always trying new toppings! What are some of your favorite additions to Frosty’s and other ice cream treats? Share us in the comments section below!

Since I lover experiments, I’ve alwaysnloved to create, paint, as well as cook and style food. I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
