Step 1

Preheat your oven to 325°F. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a large mixing bowl and set it aside. In a stand mixer or a separate large bowl, beat the butter. Slowly add the granulated sugar and keep mixing over medium speed for about 2 to 5 minutes or until creamy.

Step 2

Add the vanilla extract and then the eggs one at a time, and mix them well between each addition until incorporated. Add the cocoa powder, then add the flour 1 cup at a time alternating it with the buttermilk, and continue mixing in between each addition. Grease a 12-cup bundt pan with nonstick cooking spray generously on the sides and bottom, then pour in the batter, and spread it evenly.

Step 3

Place it in the preheated oven to bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted at the center comes out clean, then remove it from the oven, and let it cool for around 20 minutes. Remove it from the pan and let it cool completely, then while waiting, mix the powdered sugar, cocoa powder, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth and combined, and then pour it over the cooled cake. Serve and enjoy!
