The meat is well-seasoned and slow-cooked to perfection that it literally just melts in your mouth. Every bite of this dish is so addicting and I bet that everyone will be impressed when you serve this to the table. Learn how now and give it a try to see for yourself.
Step 1
Put the pork shoulder in a large bowl, then brush the jerk seasoning generously all over making sure to cover all sides, and season it with garlic powder, onion powder, and seasoned salt.
Step 2
Press the seasonings well to the meat, then set it aside, and let it marinate for a couple of minutes to allow the meat to soak in all of the flavors from the seasonings.
Step 3
In a separate large bowl, add the chicken broth, orange juice, apple cider vinegar, low-sodium soy sauce, and brown sugar, then whisk them until incorporated, and set the mixture aside.
Step 4
Preheat your crockpot on high, then carefully place the seasoned pork shoulder in the middle, and spread the chopped onion all over the crockpot followed by the minced garlic.
Step 5
Pour in the broth, then cover the crockpot with the lid, and allow the pork to cook for about 4 to 6 hours on high or 6 to 8 hours on low. Shred the meat, then serve, and enjoy!
