Here’s a quick Easter dessert recipe that you can make on your crockpot. With only a little effort and supervision, you can make an adorable and super yummy candy! Learn how to do it through this video tutorial by The Slow Roasted Italian on YouTube.

Ingredients:

  • 34.5 ounces of honey roasted dry roasted peanuts
  • 48 ounces of vanilla-flavored candy coating (Almond Bark or CandiQuik)
  • 11.4 ounces of M&M milk chocolate plain
  • Sprinkles, optional

Directions:

Step 1

Pour the peanuts into your crockpot in an even layer, then add in the vanilla-flavored candy coating, and cover it with a lid. Let it cook over low temperature for about an hour without removing the lid. After an hour, give the mixture a good stir until the vanilla candy coating and peanuts are incorporated and well combined. Continue cooking the mixture for another hour while stirring every 15 to 20 minutes, this process will take a total of 2 hours. Line 3 cookie sheets with Silpat mats or line your kitchen counter with a long piece of parchment paper.

Step 2

Turn your crockpot off, then reserve about half a cup of M&M’s, and pour the remaining half into the candy mixture in the crockpot. Fold them all together until well combined and evenly coated. Working quickly, use a small ice cream scooper or scoop about a tablespoon of the candy mixture and transfer each scoop onto the parchment paper. Make sure that there are enough spaces in between the candies to avoid them from sticking to each other’s sides. While the candy is still wet, top them with M&M’s and sprinkles. Leave the candy and allow it to cool completely to harden and set.
