Apple crisp is a simple dessert that is basically a layer of flavorful apples with a crispy and crumbly topping, true to its name. Now, you can have it even more easier with the help of your crockpot! All you have to do is mix together a couple of ingredients, then dump them into the crockpot, and let it do its magic while you wait.

Step 1
Grease a 4-6 quart oval crockpot with nonstick cooking spray and set it aside. In a mixing bowl, add the sugar, flour, and ground cinnamon, then give them a good mix until combined, and set it aside. Spread the sliced apples in the bottom of the prepared crockpot, then sprinkle the mixture over the apples, and toss them until evenly coated.
Step 2
In a large mixing bowl, add the gingersnaps, oats, pecans, and melted butter, then give them a good mix, and sprinkle them over the apples making sure not to stir. Cover the crockpot with the lid, then let it cook on a high setting for about 2 to 3 hours or on a low setting for about 4 to 6 hours.
Step 3
In a microwave-safe bowl, add the instant pudding, ground nutmeg, and milk, then whisk them for about 2 to 3 minutes to combine, and microwave them on high for a minute. Stir them well, then heat in the microwave for another minute until warmed through, and spoon the sauce over individual servings of apple crisp. Enjoy!
