Toppings
Step 1
Place a small tray or sheet pan in the freezer, and let it chill for a few minutes, then line it with wax or parchment paper. Scoop out 4 large ice creams and line them up on the chilled tray, then put the tray back in the fridge, and let the ice cream freeze for about 30 minutes until firm. While waiting for them to freeze, get a small mixing bowl, then add the corn flakes, cinnamon, and 2 teaspoons of sugar, and stir them together until uniform. In a separate medium-sized mixing bowl, whisk the egg whites together with the remaining 1 teaspoon of sugar until well combined and barely frothy, this will serve as the glue for coating the ice cream later.

Step 2
Once the ice cream is frozen solid and ready, roll each scoop in the corn flakes mixture to coat, then place in the egg whites and turn until every side is coated, and back into the corn flakes for the final coating. Return the coated ice cream to the tray, then proceed to coat the rest of the ice cream scoops, and put them back into the fridge once done. Let them freeze for at least 3 hours or up to 2 days. When you’re ready to fry them, fill a small pot or saucepan with about 3 inches of oil, then put it on a stove over medium-high heat, and start deep-frying them once the oil reached a 360°F temperature. Gently lower the frozen ice cream ball into the hot oil using a slotted spoon or spider, then fry them one at a time for about 8 to 10 seconds turning it around to fry evenly. Gently remove it from the oil, then tap to drip off the excess oil, and place on a serving plate. Drizzle the top with chocolate sauce, then whipped cream, and cherry. Serve immediately and enjoy!
