You can make this for breakfast, dessert, or snack, and you can also store the leftovers in the fridge and enjoy them the next day. This is also a great cake idea to serve at parties, gatherings, or holidays. Watch the video tutorial below now to learn how.
Cream Cheese Filling
Chocolate Ganache
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 350°F, then grease a 9 or 10-inch bundt pan with butter, and dust it with flour. In a large bowl, add the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder, then whisk them until uniform, and set it aside.
Step 2
In another bowl, mix the butter, sugar, and vegetable oil until creamy, then add the eggs one at a time while mixing consistently, add the vanilla extract, and keep mixing until combined. Lower the speed of your mixer, then gradually add the buttermilk and flour mixture alternately, and continue to mix until well incorporated.
Step 3
In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth, then add the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract, and keep mixing until well combined. Pour 1/3 or 1/2 of the chocolate batter into the prepared pan, then smooth it out, create a ditch using the back of a spoon as shown in the video, and pour in the cream cheese filling into the center.
Step 4
Gently top it with the remaining chocolate batter, then spread it nicely to fill the edges, and place it in the preheated oven to bake for about 60 to 65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted at the center comes out clean.
Step 5
Let the cake cool slightly on a wire rack for about 10 to 15 minutes, then flip it over to unmold, and allow it to cool completely. Put the chocolate and cream in a heat-proof bowl, then place it over a pan with simmering water, and let it melt over low heat. Pour the prepared ganache over the chocolate bundt cake, then let it set slightly, and serve. Enjoy!
