To make these chocolate-coated strawberries, you only need three ingredients – fresh strawberries, dark chocolate, and white chocolate. If you don’t prefer dark chocolate, you can use semi-sweet or milk chocolate as an alternative. You can also add finely chopped nuts, sprinkles, Oreo crumbs, toasted coconut, and anything you could think of. Everyone will surely love these treats. Even if there are no occasions, you can still indulge in these yummy strawberries. It also pairs well with a glass of wine.

Chocolate Covered Strawberries Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of fresh strawberries (stems attached)
  • 12 oz dark chocolate (alternatives: bittersweet, semi-sweet, milk chocolate)
  • 10 oz of white chocolate

How to Make Chocolate-Covered Strawberries

Step 1:

Start by washing the strawberries and gently pat them dry. Make sure they are very dry, so the chocolate will set properly.

Step 2:

Melt your chocolate chips using the double boiler method or microwave. If you are going to use the microwave, melt on a 30-second burst at half power, stirring in between.

Step 3:

Once the chocolate has melted, dip each strawberry, then place it on parchment paper. Let the chocolate set for a few minutes.

Step 4:

Fill a piping bag with a contrasting color of chocolate, then snip the tip off. Create stripes by piping the chocolate over the dipped part of the strawberry. Repeat with the remaining strawberries. You can serve them immediately or place them in the fridge until ready to serve. Enjoy!
