I come from a long line of quilters and the buck stopped with ME! Making quilts has always intimidated me because it looked too tedious and time consuming. Well, now that I’ve grown up and started running across these easy quilt tutorials, I decided to give it a shot.
The best thing for me was to start small and easy, after all, that’s how you get there! Rome wasn’t built in a day, right?

After following this tutorial, step by step, I began to get excited to see my results! This wasn’t hard, like I had imagined all those years. Just goes to show you where your best thinking gets you…nowhere!

I can’t tell you how excited I was when I saw it beginning to come together! My mother is beyond excited that I was actually making my first quilt. I think she had given up that I would ever be interested in doing this.

Now I can say that I have actually made a beautiful quilt from start to finish! Thanks to Marzipan for her fabulous instructions (and my determination)!

Since I lover experiments, I’ve alwaysnloved to create, paint, as well as cook and style food. I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
