You only need cream cheese, sugar, egg, lemon, vanilla extract, puff pastry, and milk to make this delicious snack at home. Using puff pastry will make the process easier and faster, so no need to worry even if you are not a baker. It comes easily and always turns out tasty. The cream cheese filling is already good on its own, but you can also top it with raspberries, blueberries, or your favorite jam to level up the flavor.

Place two oven racks toward the center of the oven, then preheat to 375F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, add the cream cheese, granulated sugar, egg yolk, lemon juice, and vanilla. Beat on medium-low speed until well combined.
Lightly flour your work surface, roll the homemade puff pastry into a 16×8 rectangle, then cut into 8 pieces of 4-inch squares. Lightly brush the edges with the beaten egg white. Fold each corner in about 1 inch towards the center and gently press. Place them on the baking sheet 2 inches apart.
Scoop a tablespoon of the cream cheese filling into the center of each pastry square.
Place inside the oven and bake for 15 minutes. Rotate the pans and bake again for another 15 minutes or until golden brown and puffed. Let it cool.
Make the glaze. While waiting for the pastries to cool, add the sugar, milk, and vanilla extract into a bowl. Whisk until smooth. Drizzle over the warm pastries. Serve and enjoy!
