This BBQ bourbon chicken recipe is super easy to make and so tasty, and I’m sure that everyone will be impressed, you might even receive a few compliments. Ingredients for BBQ Bourbon Chicken:

  • 2 pounds of chicken thighs, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 5-6 slices of thick-cut bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • Neutral cooking oil

Sauce

  • 1½ cups of BBQ sauce
  • 1/3 cup of bourbon
  • 3 tbsp of dark brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp of sriracha
  • 1½ tbsp of yellow mustard
  • 1 tbsp of neutral cooking oil
  • ½ tbsp of garlic powder
  • 1 tsp of kosher salt
  • 1 tsp of ground pepper

Step 1

In a large bowl, add the BBQ sauce, bourbon, dark brown sugar, sriracha, yellow mustard, neutral cooking oil, garlic powder, kosher salt, and ground pepper, then stir them until fully incorporated and smooth, and set the sauce aside.

Step 2

Clean the chicken and cut it into small bite-sized pieces and do the same cut for the bacon slices, then thread them alternately onto the skewers. Preheat your grill to medium-high for about 10 minutes, then grease the grill with a nonstick cooking spray, and lightly brush both sides of the skewers with oil.

Step 3

Place them on the preheated grill, then allow them to cook for about 2 to 3 minutes, then flip them over, and baste the top or cooked side with the prepared sauce. Keep turning, brushing the sauce, and cooking until done and cooked through. Serve immediately and enjoy!
