If you’re needing a baby gift for a baby girl, this is one of the easiest and cutest dresses you can possibly make! I’m not a big seamstress and I can make it so I know you can!
I had a about half a yard of fabric that I just couldn’t decide what to do with it. Then, my sister had a baby girl and I was so excited and decided to make a sweet little baby dress.
Have some extra fabric laying around? This is a great way to use it. I love this little dress with the cotton lace trim at the bottom…it’s so sweet and really cool for the summer.
This little number took no time at all to make, so I’ll probably be making lots more of them. I already feel so much better after making this little dress. I think I just needed a start perhaps. This little peasant dress got me back in the sewing chair, which is yet another thing I’ve wanted to do for a long time, and it was sewn up in no time. I’ve made several variations of this dress and with all of the awesome fabrics available, I’ve gone a little crazy sewing for this little gal!
One thing I love about peasant dresses is they’re so versatile and can double as a tunic to wear with leggings and often even as a shirt as the little girl grows.
