I used to be intimidated by complicated and busy-looking quilt patterns such as this one by Art Gallery Fabrics on YouTube because I thought it would be too difficult and time-consuming to put together. Not until I watched this video tutorial and saw that it was actually super simple and easy that I can probably finish a whole quilt in just one day! So, if you’re like me and get easily intimidated by quilts like this, then this is the right time for you to try a project such as this one, and you won’t regret it for sure.
Step 1
Cut one 10⅞” square each from fabrics A, B, C, and D, then lay fabrics A and C together with their right sides facing, and then draw a diagonal line on the wrong side of the fabric from corner to corner. Sew ¼ inch away on each side of the drawn line, then cut along the drawn line, and press them open before setting them aside. Repeat the same steps with fabrics B and D to make another set of half-square triangles.

Step 2
Next, take one half-square triangle from each combination, then cut them into four 2½-inch strips, and arrange them together as shown in the video to make two different blocks. Make a mirrored version of the arranged blocks, then sew them together, and press nicely. Repeat the same steps with the remaining half-square triangles, then sew the blocks together as shown in the video and the pattern, and quilt as desired.
